Ötztaler Roast lamb

A very special treat at our snack station is a roast lamb from the Ötztal mountain lamb. We only use lambs that are slaughtered in autumn after spending the summer on the Ötztal pastures and mountain meadows. This and the fact that the meat is marinated with Andrea's very special herbal mixture for at least one day before frying make this dish a true taste experience.

Because of this very special way of preparation, our mountain lamb is only available on pre-order. We deliberately opt for regional food. Simply to do something for the climate, the added value in the region and, above all, to ensure a respectful treatment of our animals when it comes to meat. 

Especially when it comes to lamb, the domestic lamb is at least twice as expensive to buy as lamb from the other end of the world (New Zealand). For us always a challenge, especially since we try not to pass on this price difference to the guest.
